Director of Flight Operations /
Senior UAS Operator

SALES| FULL TIME

Experienced senior unmanned aerial systems (UAS) aviation professional and leader for our Flight Operations Department. As Director of Flight Operations, you will need an entrepreneurial mindset and be able to operate safely and effectively in both our government/defense and commercial market segments. The best candidate will have deployed operational military experience as well as experience operating UAS in a commercial environment. This position has significant growth potential. Position initially located in San Diego, CA area and will likely relocate to the Prescott/Phoenix, AZ area within 18 months.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Orbiter-2 and Orbiter-3 UAS Senior Operator able to safely operate UAS in training and operational environments both in the United States and foreign locations.
  • Perform UAS field set-up, maintenance, logistics, and documentation.
  • Develop company Flight Operations, Standardization, Training and Safety procedures and documentation.
  • Obtain Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) UAS certifications for CP Aeronautics family of UAS and Flight Operations Department personnel.
  • You must be willing to travel up to 50% or more within the United States, as well as overseas locations. Some travel may be required to austere environments including potential for shipboard environments.
  • Present CP Aeronautics UAS to senior customers, partners, and internal leadership both in the field and in professional settings.
  • Support engineering and integration efforts.
  • Growth potential to operate Orbiter-4 UAS and other CP Aeronautics family of UAS.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:

  • U.S. citizen
  • Current Department of Defense security clearance (ability to maintain and/or obtain)
  • FAA Class II Medical Certificate (or ability to obtain)
  • FAA Part 107 licensed (or ability to obtain)
  • 10-12 years of aviation experience including deployed operational UAS experience
  • Operational flight experience with UAS of 55 lbs or greater maximum takeoff weight (MTOW)

Desired:

  • Military aviation safety school graduate
  • Rotary-wing and/or vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) experience

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or aviation discipline.

DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT /
SENIOR UAS OPERATOR

As Director of Business Development, you will need an entrepreneurial mindset to identify and capture new business and you will need to operate UAS safely and effectively in both our government/defense and commercial market segments. The best candidate will have deployed operational military experience as well as experience operating UAS in a commercial environment. This position has significant growth potential. Position initially located in San Diego, CA area and will likely relocate to the Prescott/Phoenix, AZ area within 18 months.

  • Business development experience

OFFICE ASSISTANT & RECEPTIONIST

ADMINISTRATION| FULL TIME

Assist in managing the day-to-day administrative aspects of running the business. This position is the first point of contact for the company and requires a positive attitude, a desire to work as efficiently as possible, and excellent client-facing communication skills.

This position is expected to possess excellent customer service skills and maintain composure in difficult situations. Must work efficiently and have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office environment.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answer phone inquiries, direct call, and provide basic company information positively and professionally.
  • Greet incoming clients, vendors, and visitors in a welcoming and professional manner.
  • Assist with maintaining and organizing office common areas..
  • Assist with organizing travel by booking accommodations and reservations as required.
  • Assist with maintaining office supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory levels and anticipating requirements.
  • Performs general office/clerical duties as needed such as proof reading for completeness and accuracy and create, edit, and update spreadsheets and databases.
  • Pick up and deliver mail daily and assist with processing and distribution.
  • Maintain security by following procedures and controlling access; monitor logbook, issuing visitor badges, and screening solicitors.
  • Assist with planning company events, meetings, luncheons, and employee team building activities or special projects.
  • Assist with arranging schedules for meeting space and conference rooms.
  • Assistance with other departmental administrative needs.
  • Match purchase orders and receiving documents with vendor invoices and record the necessary information.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience handling office responsibilities, experience in customer service, or related field.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel); scheduling appointments/updating calendars.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise in a day-to-day fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Has a ‘Can Do’ attitude and is proactive.
  • Willingness to learn and to grow with the company.
